숨쉴 때 바람소리 낮에 좀 편해졌다 싶어도 밤이 되어봐야 진짠지 아닌지 알게된다. 오늘은 저녁무렵부터 숨쉴 때 바람소리가 심해짐. 이게 진짜 폐에 구멍이 난 것처럼 기침을 해도 그냥 헛도는 느낌이다. 목욕하고 가래가 쓱 빠지길 기대했는데 잘 안 돼서 미놀 한 알 먹었더니 좀 편해짐. 소리도 잦아들었다. 미놀이 잘 안 들었는데 이럴 땐 효과가 있구나. 아무래도 저녁 기온이 갑자기 내려가서 그런 게 아닌가 함. 2024. 9. 6.

위저드 베이커리 2009년 창비청소년문학상 수상작. 작가 구병모. 제목만 보고 골랐다. 조금은 어둡고 위험한 설정들을 유쾌하고 기발하게 풀어낸 빵집일 거라 생각했는데 청소년 책으로 추천하기엔 끔찍하리만치 폭력적이다. 책은 여러가지 악몽을 보여준다. 말도 안되는 억울한 누명을 쓰고 도망가게 된 나. 타인에게 해를 입히기 위해 마법의 빵을 주문하는 사람들이나 마법사 점장이 견디는 이해할 수 없는 (진짜) 악몽의 시간들. 그 중에서도 소아 성폭행을 둘러싼 불편한 인식과, 그것을 강조하기 위한 불필요한 묘사들이 가장 폭력적으로 느껴졌다. 배선생의 딸 무희가 입었을 정신적 고통은 거의 무시된다. 왜냐면 그 사건은 주인공 소년(나)의 은신을 위한 소모성 장치로 사용되었을 뿐이니까. 마법 빵집엔 치유도 힐링도 선善도 징악懲惡도 부재.. 2022. 6. 13.
